Short walk down a scenic, wooded path. Catch glimpses of the coast
through the trees. Cache is a clear rubbermaid container full of
the usual trade items! Path and access to the cache can be muddy in
the wet season (which is most of the year) ;) Take road past Olsen
Marina restrooms. Park in rutted parking lot by trailhead and large
dumpster. Short walk down path overlooking water.
The REEF Advanced Assessment Team (www.reef.org) placed this cache
during a week-long marine fish and invertebrate survey trip to the
Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary in September of 2003. Every
day we'd be on the boat or diving in the cooooold waters within the
sanctuary, and it was a welcome break to do a little geocaching in
the afternoons!
