This is a 4 point multi-cache; the first 3 points are virtual - each point has a clue which leads to the next; the last is the actual cache.
Total hiking distance from car to cache is just over 0.5 mile.
The coordinates above will bring you to the first point - you can park there.
CAUTION: The terrain is pretty easy, and there is no longer any potential for danger at the final point.
There is a newly contructed bicycle/pedestrian bridge crossing over the railroad tracks, which is an excellent replica for the original "Road to Ruin."
Note: There is a visitor center at the parking location that is open Tuesday-Friday 2:30-4:30, and Saturday 10:00-4:00

This was the main entrance to John Ogden Armour's estate.

This is one of the Chicago River’s northernmost tributaries – it is called Middle Fork. It parallels the West Fork and the East Fork (aka Skokie River).
