To introduce folks to the new multi-use path that runs from Airport
Park / British American Park down past the Hilton, I've placed a
multi-cache that should show you an interesting view of the
airport's new runway expansion. Most of the path is a nicely paved
trail that winds through the forest between Albany-Shaker Road and
a golf course. Currently the Hilton end of the trail continues on
unpaved for a bit toward the radar tower near the baseball field
but construction for the trail to continue is in progress. There's
a Benchmark over there too if you go down that far. The entire
trail is nearly a mile in length but the hunt for this cache
doesn't quite take you THAT far.
I suggest parking at: N42 45.240 W073 49.300
The first part is a well hidden micro (small bison size tube
with the coords written on it....with a cord attached to it to keep
it from roaming too far). If you find any other container that
doesn't meet that exact description, please retreive it and let me
know. There were a couple micros that had gone missing here before
with old coords for the final that may no longer be accurate.
The final cache is a large ammo can well stocked and well hidden.
If you take the direct route, be prepared for lots of prickers.
There are better ways to it though....just not directly.
Please keep it completely covered when you are done.
Thanks and enjoy!
