Geocache Description:

large rock at the north end of picnic area - name carved in rock 2" block letters - some what faded but deep enough to still be seen DO NOT POST PIC'S OR YOUR LOG WILL BE DELETED

I have shown this carving to many people over the years and no one ever knew it was there not even the park rangers. I found it in 1973. I had hoped that by caching the site I could share this bit of history with many more people. So come and live some history; see the summit house built in 1821, the site of the first tramway in the state 1854 ....AND NO IT IS NOT “LISA”....... *To verify your find, e-mail the name carved in the rock; don't post your answer here even if encrypted
