Angus Kress Gillespie a professor at Rutgers University has written a fascinating book about the New Jersey Turnpike that I completed earlier this year. He describes the New Jersey Turnpike as an American engineering and cultural icon. It is an insightful read. I highly recommend it. It should be available at your local New Jersey public library or Amazon.com.
