Chuck Walla: Greetings from Geocaching.com!

Since you have not responded to my reviewer log about your cache, the cache has been archived.

Some time ago, I posted a note to your cache page requesting a response from you to post what you were planning to do with the cache on the page and to send me a note. I have no record of a response, and no response tells me that you are not planning on replacing or repairing this cache. If I am wrong with that assumption, please let me know promptly. I can always unarchive the cache for you if needed.

Sincerely,

Geocache Description:

This is the 1st in a series of caches on or near the Ozark Highlands Trail in Arkansas. This cache is located on White Rock Mtn.

The OHT is a 165 + hiking trail that starts in Western Arkansas and ends in the Buffalo River Area. Someday it make be connected with the Ozark Trail in Missouri to provide a continous trail to St. Louis, Mo.

The caches in this series will be a variety of containers and a variety in terrain difficulty. Some will be near trail heads and some may be miles into the forest.

White Rock Mtn is a trailhead location and it provides one of the best views in the state. The Mtn elevation is 2,234 ft.

The cache is a micro container that is big enough for small trade items (coins, pins, etc.) and contains a small micro log with 1 pencils. Please be careful to put this cache securely back in it's hiding place

This was intended to be very easy to find as it is located in a very wide open area. The trail down to the "point" at White Rock has been recently improved to be a 5 ft wide fine gravel path. There is some elevation change but should be an easy walk for most cachers. Be very discrete, it might be necessary to wait until all possible geomuggles leave the point.

In addition to find the cache, in order to log a find you must e-mail to me the specific distances listed on the rocks at the "point" to various cities. Depending on the day of the week you find it, pick the appropriate city and e-mail the mileage:

Monday - Clarksville
Tuesday - Ft. Smith
Wednesday - Van Buren
Thursday - Tulsa
Friday - Kansas City
Saturday - Ozark (my hometown)
Sunday - Fayetteville

There are very high cliffs on this mountain, so please be careful and watch your children. The cache is away from the cliffs and the "point" has a rock barrier around it.

My thanks to Geezer Veazey for the photos below.

Thanks & Happy Caching.

NOTE: You might want to do your homework, like check routes and location on topo maps before you head out the door to find this cache. Don't want you to get lost!!!!
