** UPDATE ** 11/11/13 This one kept getting muggled in its old location, probably by maintenance workers or people looking out the windows. I changed it to a nano and moved it a few feet. The hint now gives it away.
This beautiful business park was opened April of 2002. The main building at the top of the hill is called the Corner Stone Building. Please note that there are now other buidlings on the property since the cache was hidden!! There are now buildings on either side of the cache, so you will be watched and you can now park within 100 feet of the cache!
The property was donated to Knox Hertiage, Inc. for perservation and restoration of the propety. The Dowell-Lonas house that is on the property was built in 1858 and is made of Tennessee clay. It is one of the oldest historical and continuously occupied archaeological sites in Knox county.
The Dowell Springs walking trail is 3/4 of a mile total. It curves through water falls and ponds on its way to the Dowell Springs Business Park Spring House. The bigger ponds are stocked with carp, and many water birds call the area home. Also red-tail hawks can be seen circling the area in search for food. In October 2002, a pair of buffalo escaped from a near by farm and called the area home for a week. The information was provided by www.dowellsprings.com.
The container is a green match stick container. It can only hold a logbook, so BYOP. The area around the cache is crowded during the hours of 7am and 6pm Monday thru Friday. Early mornings, nights, and weekends are less crowded. Enjoy yourself and the beautiful scenery.
