Patience Mystery Cache

A regular cache filled with a variety of small toys & gadgets.
CACHE IS NOT AT THE POSTED COORDINATES, but it
is within a mile.
Don't bother going to the posted coordinates, there is no help
there.
At time of placement, cache contained: 1 Log sheet & standard
note. 2 Hotwheels cars. 2 Rubber body parts. 3 Pens. 2 Binder
clips. 1 Retractable badge holder thingie. 1 Blue metal cap. 1
Lanyard. 1 Mini Coleman landern. Possibly some pine needles. Air
(how come this is never listed on other caches?!?) Cache is not
beyond the fence. Don't trample the little plants please. (None of
the preceding information will help you solve the puzzle or find
the cache.)
We would give you more clues, but patience is really all you'll
need to solve this one.
Update 10/16/03: Nostrada made me aware of
one potential limitation to solving this cache. At the risk of
giving away an obvious clue, we must offer another tip. For some
users of advanced browser toolage, to prevent Patience from turning
into Endless & Undeserved Frustration you must
"unfreeze".
Update 4/18/04: after 6 months, we think it's fair to reduce the
amount of patience required. Now, only 1/3 the original patience is
required.
