Ice Cube #1 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

lpyankeefan: Augh! While I hate to see old caches archived...especially one that's one month shy of ten years old, it's now time to make way for a new cache in the general area.

Many thanks to those who have hunted for this one over the years. I shall leave the container out for a few weeks to allow those who have it in their current pocket queries to hunt for it and then log in a timely manner.

For all intents an purposes this one is deceased! A note to the reviewer...I shall post an "Owner Maintenance" note when the container has finally been retrieved. No additional logs shall be permitted after that date.

Geocache Description:

Located at Byron Memorial Park in Williamsport, MD. Take the US 11 Just before entering Williamsport downtown on the left, immediately before the Sheetz. Bring the kids, there's a pool, playground with swings and rides, and a pavillion to plan and have your party.

First one of a series of ice cubes caches. The container is a small (but slightly larger than an ice cube) Tupperware cube with a yellow lid. The only thing inside is a log sheet so bring something to sign it.

The difficulty rating is because there is a ball park close by the cache and I would imagine it would be pretty darn impossible to get close to the cache if there is game being played without being seen. You need to walk passed the "dugout" and across the stream. My suggestion is to go for it only when there isn't a game being played (the difficulty rating should drop down to 2). It might help to remove the cache (remember where it was) and sit near in the park area to sign it as not to arouse suspicion. Then place it back as you found it.
