Geocache Description:

The cache is located in General Springs Canyon, just a short level walk along the Arizona Trail north from the General Springs Trailhead.

The cache is contained in a plastic container (approx 5"x5"x7"). Inside you will find many cloth scouting emblems including some from the 2001 National Scout Jamboree and the 2003 World Scout Jamboree held in Thailand.

The cache is stored near the start of what will eventually be a new section of the Arizona Trail. Twenty-five Venturers from throughout the state constructed part of this new section. When the new section is completed it will reroute the Arizona Trail out of a riparian area that has been heavily damaged by erosion.

At the time of placing the cache the new section of the trail ran for about a quarter mile from the cache to a medium size drainage. From that point you can follow the drainage downstream to return to the Arizona Trail.
