This Cache is located near the Desoto Falls just off US Hwy 19 . Easy hike for the family with kids (no baby strollers). Parking is $3.00 and restrooms are available here.
“Jump Steady” and “Bandido Charlie” placed this cache here (and was later replaced by "Slayerette") so other Cachers could discover this beautiful part of North Georgia near the Desoto Falls. The ammo box was stocked with goodies for the whole family and is less than 300 ft off the trail. Before you head for the Cache, check out the lower falls (worth the time). Just a short 1/4 mile hike south of the foot bridge over the creek, we wanted to place the cache in this area but could not get a GPS signal. After visiting the lower falls go for the cache north along the trail about 1/3 mile north of the foot bridge. There are few benches to rest on along the trail, however the trail is not difficult. The GPS signal will come and go, but will be there when it is time to leave the trail.
