Geocache Description:

short gravel trail down from paved pull over/rest area to summer water level. (about 50 feet) OK THE TRAIL IS OBLITERATED WARNING!!!!! YOU WILL HAVE TO WADE IF THE WATER IS HIGH

the ammo can started out with a new travel bug, a camera, belt buckle, Hose' Quevo bandana, toys for the kids, and more trinkets for all to enjoy. the best attraction is the area that is full of wildlife and signs with lots of info. History of this area as a Kalispel Indian camping and gathering area for huckleberries and other foods they depended on. Be sure to read all the information that's been provided by Watchable wildlife program, historical society, and the Hope - Clark's Fork chambers of commerse members. P.S. I did go out and check this one since the lake has come up to summer pool level. It is fine and in place. It is dry inside the ammo can and reachable, Ankle deep wading, less than four feet from shore. Please use good judgement, be careful and have fun!!
