Rattlesnake Falls Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Chuck Walla: Greetings from Geocaching.com,

Since you have not responded to my reviewer log about your cache, nor did you post a note to your cache page telling me and others of your intention to address the issue with it, the cache has been archived.

Some time ago, I posted a note to your cache page requesting a response from you to post what you were planning to do with the cache on the page and to send me a note. I have no record of a response, and no response tells me that you are not planning on replacing or repairing this cache. If I am wrong with that assumption, please let me know promptly. I can always unarchive the cache for you if needed.

Sincerely,

Chuck Walla

Geocache Description:

Location is accessable by walking, mountain bike, ATV or a four wheel drive vehicle. I would not take a passenger car down this road. To get to this cache you need to take Forest Road #1003 about 5.6 miles west of White Rock Mountain until you come to an unmarked road at N 35 42.005 W 94 01.826. The cache approximately .6 of a mile from this location. There is a creek with slick rocks that leads to Rattlesnake Falls. Please be careful.

The cache is a .50 caliber ammo box and initially was stocked with a log book, batteries, a deck of cards, a baseball, basketball whistle, purple frog, rubber ball, suction cup ball, bungie cords, WG1$bill and a travel bug.

Rattlesnake Falls is a 29 foot water fall on Rattlesnake Creek. This area is very steep and the falls are overhanging so the drop is vertical. The surrounding area is also mainly a bluff. Please take care when near the falls. One slip could have disasterous results. To best appreciate the falls, go downstream to obtain access to Rattlesnake Creek and then return upstream to the falls. This gives you the best view.
