Geocache Description:

Ever since finding the Inspector Cache-it Cache we have thought about how to do some puzzle caches. Nonni was in Dallas and went by Half Price Books and bought poppy a puzzle book. He learned quite a bit about cryptography or coding of messages. Most codes in history were used for strategic reasons mostly during times of war. The first use of codes or ciphers is credited to Julius Caesar.

This is the second in what we hope to be a series of increasingly more difficult puzzle caches. Along the way cachers who find these will learn more about codes and cyphers. Once you have solved the puzzle we do not think the cache will be that hard to find. The difficulty ratings are given because of the puzzle not the hide.

The above coordinates are for parking purposes only. Please park here. If a vehicle is there during the bow hunting portion of deer season there may be a hunter in these woods. Perhaps you should try later. This cache is located in a wooded area just north and east of the Johnson County Detention Center from which it gets its name. County Sheriff Kendrick is aware of the placement of this cache. It will not be necessary to get closer to the detention center than the parking coordinates.

Seeking this cache will require decoding the actual set of coordinates for the location of the cache. This cache will require a bit of thought and perhaps some research but I expect it to be found my many of you. The key to solving this puzzle is in the way it is encoded.

The cache container is a 30 cal. ammo can with the usual type cache goodies.

Now the encryption clue:

This code is a very basic reverse transpositional cypher.

owtruofruoflamicednevessowtecapsevifeerhthtron

ruofenineerhtlamicednevesowtecapseerhteninoreztsew

It comes to my attention that after you decode the coordinates you must make the following adjustments:

West add 00 00.010

There might be a short bushwhack involved in finding this cache depending on how you approach the cache as to the amount of difficulty.

When you find this cache please take note how it is hidden and replace it back as you found it so those following you may experience the same challenge.

The more you write in a cache log the more the owner is repaid for their efforts to place the cache.

If you have any recommendations or suggestions to improve this cache please send an email.
