Krokegem Multi-Cache

Binnen de omschrijving van de gemeente Asse ligt de kleine parochie Krokegem. In de 5de tot 7de eeuw vestigden zich hier de eerste Frankische landbouwers. Ze huisden in een 'haim' of 'heem' dat bij een beek werd opgetrokken. De namen van deze nederzettingen zijn bewaard in de plaatsnamen op –gem zoals Relegem, Vrijlegem of zoals in dit geval Krokegem.

Om deze cache te vinden heeft U Opmerkzaamheid en een goed visueel geheugen nodig. Op het kerkplein van Krokegem begint de zoektocht. Je kan hier de wagen achterlaten. De totale afstand heen en terug van de wandeling is 3,4 km en gaat voor 90% over landelijke aardewegen (schoeisel aangepast aan de weersomstandigheden).

Vanaf het kerkplein tot aan WAYPOINT 2 moet je uitkijken naar een aantal details langs het wandelpad. Een foto van deze details kan je hieronder aanklikken. Het is de bedoeling dat je de foto's een volgnummer geeft. De eerste foto die je herkent krijgt het nummer 1 de tweede het nummer 2 enz... Er zijn 2 foto's die NIET tot de wandeling behoren: die geef je waarde 0.

In the village of Asse you will find the small community of Krokegem. The first Frankish farmers arrived here during the 5th and 7th century. Their homes were called a "haim" or "heem" and were erected close to the river. The names of these old communities still exist in the placenames ending in -gem such as Relegem, Vrijlegem or in this case Krokegem.

To find this cache, you will need to be very alert and have a good visual memory. The quest starts at the church of Krokegem. You can leave your car there.The total distance of this walk is 3.4 km and is for 90% over footpaths and countryroads. It can get muddy when it has been raining, so try to adapt your shoes to the weather.

Starting at the 'Kerkplein' (at the church) and until you get to waypoint 2, you will have to locate some details. You can find a page with all the pictures you need below. You should try to order the photo's and give them a value. The first picture you see during you walk gets value 1, the second value 2, ... Two pictures can't be found: give these value 0.
