PLEASE NOTE: The elevated 3.5 terrain rating is due to a very narrow foot path across a 30 foot section of steep terrain. Aside from that, the entire trail is an easy 2.5 terrain with great vistas! The views revealed from the final plateau are well worth the added exhilaration and effort... It's only 30 feet!
The trail winds around the southwest side of Mission Point revealing spectacular views of Aliso Canyon to the west, the San Fernando Valley to the south and the So Cal Gas lands to the north. You will walk less then a mile up a gentle sloping grade and gain about 500 feet in elevation.
The Way Out cache contents are all theme related Wind-Ups.
Orcutt Lease Trail Head = 1,505 feet (N 34° 17.904 W 118° 31.665)
Way Out Wind-Up = 1,994 feet
