The bridge has been repaired since the last time I was here so there is no longer a side path. I increased the terrain rating because depending on time of year, you may have to find a way around the river.
Delaware & Hudson Canal Linear Park Hornbeck's Basin Access
Hornbeck's Basin Access is located ½ mile north of Wurtsboro. The trail is ideal for hikers, bikers, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, nature watching and fishing. Picnic tables and grills along with porta-johns are available. If you have the time, take a ride up to the Bova Road Access where the pavilion is and check out the drydock. That entrance is about four miles north on the opposite side of 209.
I do not recommend bushwacking to or from Easier Found Than Hid (GCGDPY). You might find a swamp or river in your way. Follow the main trail to the side trail. I placed this cache because (GCGDPY) wasn't bringing anyone to where I wanted them to go. I re-used the other log book, but all first find rights and priviledges are still in effect.
