Storr's Wildlife Refuge
From Oct. 2003 Mom's (she was 82 then) been asking about "geecatching" 
since three of her sons and one son-inlaw have taken the hobby up. So this weekend when down in that part of the state I took her along ("Just so I don't have to get out of the car now; my knees have been bothering me lately."
) to a cache called Wild Turkey Roost. As luck would have it, the cache was only about 30 yards from the car so she could see while I found it. 
I brought the cache to the car and her eyes told the story - this was neat!! Anyway, when we got back to her home she thought it'd be nice to start a geecatcher nearby. The result is vintage junk drawer stuff of a start-up contained in a large brown(6 inch dia.)I Can't Believe It's Really Butter container. Mom passed away in Oct. of 2013, just a few days shy of her 92nd birthday; she very much enjoyed reading the comments of the cachers who visited the site. I live about 200 miles north of the Milton area and have no reason to visit any longer. Thus far, random anonymous cachers have been nice enough to maintain the site. Hopefully it will continue. The original cache consists of: A Christmas Happy Face Beanie Baby 2 spools of thread but no needle (someone might prick themselves according to mom) Packers button Horse Broache World's Best Gramma button 3 golf balls Brass boat key ring Shoehorn Seashell key ring French soap Candles A rubber thing Eraser And there's a lot more where that came from!!
