When Clemtreker and I was out searching and setting new caches on October 18th we went to find the Fly Gap Fire Tower site and benchmarks (Northwest of the cache), and down the road from the site we came across this unique rock formation and saw an awesome view and we both agreed this place needed a cache. So, I went back to set up a micro cache (rectangular can) and in this cache is a log book and small pencil, no room for trade items. The rock formation overlooks Hanging Rock Hollow. There are also alot of names carved on the rock, the oldest one Clemtreker found was from 1888. I spotted a name from 1919. This is in the Ozark National Forest. From here you can continue down the road and turn right on Morgan Mountain Road and pick up the Spy Rock cache and a new cache placed at the Hole in the Ground, called Spanish Treasure. Be careful around the rocks, steep drop. Thanks & Happy Caching.
NOTE: You might want to do your homework, like check routes and location on topo maps before you head out the door to find this cache. Don't want you to get lost!!!!
