McCollum Park is a 78 acre family-oriented park, providing ball fields, jogging / walking trails, a junior Olympic-sized, heated outdoor swimming pool, shaded and open space lawn areas with picnic tables and shelters, and a BMX bicycle racing track. Adopt-A-Stream's Northwest Stream Center, a stream and wetland ecology learning facility, is also located here on 20 acres of forested wetlands next to North Creek.
There use to be a real nice cache in this park, but it was plundered and archived several months ago. The pizza party gave me a perfect opportunity to place a replacement.
The cache is a large 50cal Ammo Box, well marked with a Groundspeak Cache Label. The Replacement cache is a medium sized Rubbermaid container.
Much of the contents were put in the box at the WSGA Everett Pizza Party on Oct 21. There are SEVEN travel bugs in the cache at the time of placement. There are also several Geocaching.com window clings; please take only one and leave the rest for others!
PLEASE be carefull not to leave a trail or damage the area around the cache.
