Sea Shells Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Nomex: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

Sea Shells is not part of Trogdor’s Gate series except for the fact that it has a clue for the location of Trogdor’s Gate.

Prior to the purchase of the Marrland and Jaughin Ranch Open Spaces By the Santa Monica Mountains Concervancy, this was all the farther we would ride our mountain bikes as the climb was too steep for such a short distance to where you had to turn around. Now we commonly ride a 9.5-mile loop from the entrance at Las Llejas Canyon (Marrland) up to Sea Shells and then return down Chumash Trail.

You could access this cache via Rocky peak Fire Road or come up Las Llejas Canyon (Marrland Open Space). If you decide to come up Las Llejas Canyon see my Marrgate Cache for parking.

This is a regular cache with the container being a camoed nut jar. There are a few trinkets in the cache, but most of the items in the cache are backcountry safety related. Snake Bite Kit, First Aid Kit, Space Blanket etc. Please trade fair for these items, otherwise leave them for someone who may need them on the trail!
