Geocache Description:


The cache is located in Davidson-Arabia Mountain Nature Preserve. The Nature Preserve is along Klondike Road south of Lithonia in southeastern DeKalb County, Georgia. Take Klondike Road to the Nature Center (3787 Klondike Road; North Parking Lot) where visitors can obtain a trail map. From the Nature Center, either take the Mile Rock Trail or take the paved bike path south and intersect the Mile Rock Trail at the remains of the old quarry office building. The cache is near the Mile Rock Trail and a little over 1/2 mile from the Nature Center. Visitors can and should stay on the trail when navigating to the vicinity of the cache. When in the vicinity, the visitor can leave the trail, being careful not to step on sensitive plants, moss or lichen.

The cache is a Rubbermaid plastic container with various rewards as well as photographs and information of historic and geologic interest about the cache site.

Feel free to retrieve travel bugs or geocoins without any need to leave something in return.
