On the campus of Mississippi State University is Dudy Noble Field/Polk Dement Stadium, home of the Diamond Dawgs.
To experience college baseball at its finest, one must attend a game here. Don't feel confined to the grandstand or the skyboxes, because the most highly-prized seats are beyond the outfield fence in the "Left Field Lounge". In an attempt to avoid the connotations associated with the word "lounge", the university administration re-named this area "The Terrace". Yea, right....
What began in the early 1970's as a popular gathering spot for MSU students during ballgames is now college baseball's largest tailgate party. During baseball season, you will find an assortment of pick-up trucks and trailers - most equipped with homemade bleachers and barbecue grills - lining the outfield fence.
2018 UPDATE:
After the total remodel of the stadium, and the introduction of The New Dude, this historic cache was relocated about 125' NE of its original location. It is in a publicly accessible location outside the ticketed area.
Please make sure the custom logbook is re-sealed in the zip-lock baggy and place the cache back in the exact same location that you found it.
