Geocache Description:

This cache offers a view of the Copper Creek rail trestles in Scott County near Clinchport.

Here's a microcache a railroad fan would probably appreciate. It's located near Speer's Ferry. From the cache site there's an excellent view of the Copper Creek trestles for both the old Southern Railroad and the Clinchfield Railroad. The Clinchfield trestle is considerably the more impressive of the two and is one of the highest in the region. It was built nearly 100 years ago and is an engineering marvel. It is 185 feet high and is 1160 feet in length.

This is a MICRO cache and there's only room inside the container for a small logbook. Please bring your own writing instrument.
