From the car park cross the A25 road (please be careful as it can be busy) into the woodlands. Walk along the North Downs Way for about 1.8km until you come to the sign for “West Hanger”.
A “Hanger” is a typical feature of downland and is a wood comprising of beech trees growing or hanging in the steep chalk sides of combes.
Take the next bridleway on the right and start to look for the cache located at: 51 13.860N 000 28.662W
You are looking for a green ammo box.
The North Downs Way is a 141 mile National Trail which links Farnham to Dover. This part follows the Old Drove Road which is also called the Pilgrim’s Way in memory of people using the route on a pilgrimage to Canterbury. The path is a bridleway so if you want to take your bikes you could enjoy some safe off road cycling and devise your own loop back to the car park.
