No need to park on Interstate. Pull into parking area at MP50 on Eastbound I-70 and follow the arrow on your GPS. This cache is not for a caudal appendage challenged beaver.
This parking area is the old Hwy. 6 before the Beaver Tail Tunnel was constructed. The area has access to the Colorado River, a picnic table, shade trees and garbage cans.
The cache is located at the end of the older Hwy 6 that is not the old Hwy 6 you drove off the Interstate on. Let the name of the cache guide your search. The 30cal ammo can is hidden under a small rock, in a pile of rocks, no need to move boulders.
Original contents include: Wooden Train Whistle, Super Ball, Patriotic Bandana (this item should be familiar to local geocachers, especially Bob Rich), Cylume Stick, Musical Teddy, Crayons, Roll Type Lint Remover, Heart & Feathers Hair Clip, Gold Dollar, Carabiner, Log Book and writing instruments.
