Welcome to the O&L
Travel Bug Truckstop! Your travel bugs are welcome to stop over in this cache
as they travel Vermont. The purpose of this cache is to facilitate
movement of travel bugs -- not to store them indefinitely. Accordingly,
please stop by often.
The coordinates for this cache are intentionally off by
up to a tenth of a mile. If you would like to visit
this cache, read the guidelines below and then e-mail
furrs@furrs.org,
explain that you understand the cache guidelines, and ask for the coordinates;
they'll promptly be sent to you.
(The reason for this intentional error is to keep
the cache from being found by people who won't read instructions and won't log
travel bugs when they pick them up. That's really the only reason.)
We ask that you read and abide by the following guidelines:
-
When you pick up a bug from this cache, you need to properly log that you have
the bug, and properly carry it on to another cache and drop it off again.
Few things are more frustrating than seeing a travel bug vanish because someone
picked it up and either didn't log that they had it or just decided to keep it
as a souvenir. Please follow the proper procedures and
log that you have done so -- this makes the bug's travel history stay correct
and current. If you don't know how to log that you have picked up a bug,
please email furrs@furrs.org or visit
http://www.geocaching.com/track
for more information.
-
The theme for this cache is "truckstop"... and we've extended that to
refer to the legendary food at truckstops. Accordingly, if you want to take
part, bring a favorite recipe for the truckstop's rotating collection of
recipes. Take one from the existing stock. Mix it up at home. Let us know how it turns
out.
-
Please do
NOT drop off trade items other than travel bugs and recipes,
with the exception of so-called “signature items” such as Wheel15’s rocks,
flask’s pennies, and so on.
-
Finally, try
to avoid revealing the location of the cache to geo-muggles.
We hope your bugs
enjoy their time at the Truckstop!
