"The Andy Griffith Show, a simpler time, a sweeter place, a lesson,
a laugh, a father and a son." read a plaque that once was at the
base of this two person statue in a park in Raleigh, North
Carolina. This new statue was dedicated and unveiled by Andy
Griffith on October 28th 2003. The likeness of both individuals is
remarkable. These statues are very detailed and accurately reflect
likeness of both actors.
Geocaching.com has urged that we "maintain" this cache and
assure the validity of the logs. So to log a find for this cache,
please send or post a picture of you holding your GPS as you stand
beside the statue (or at least have the statue(s) in the view with
you and your GPS).
Unfortunately, these statues have been vandalized. The plaque
and fishing pole are missing. Perhaps we should call Barney!
