The entrance to the trail that will get you into the forest is located at N 42 47.879' W 071 02.679'. This trailhead is marked as Pear Trail and is located on the NECC campus in Haverhill. The trail will take you down a mild grade that can be wet at times. The cache container is the size of a coffee can and is well hidden.
This is a spot that I have enjoyed many a time between classes. There are some great spots to sit and read. It's really peaceful if you can ignore the background noise of rt. 495 in the distance. This cache started out with the standard logbook, pencil, and sharpener. The tradeable contents are: a corn-cob pipe, some prose on a piece of natural paper (not directly off of the tree), a bust of a bald man in pine, and three axe-handle tokens. I would like this cache to only hold things that are made of wood or other tasty beaver-treats, i.e. wooden checkers, tokens, toothpicks... Please keep the items small, as the container is no bigger than the average coffee can. Happy hunting and enjoy the stroll!
