The cache container is a 7.62 mm ammo can. The area is fairly friendly for almost all ages. Boss and I took the mini-cacher (grandson) with us in his stroller and could get within about 25 feet of the cache. Granted, this involved some off-path stroller-ing but it made it OK.
There are a couple of places to park because the park has multiple entrances, each with a parking lot. The parking spot I like is at N 32° 51.154 W 097° 17.345. This allows a nice walk along the path right along Fossil Creek. There is a playground about 200’ or so from the cache so bring the kids.
Explore the park. The kids will love the playground, the foot bridge, the low water crossing and the abundance of squirrels. There are restrooms at the end of the park where the cache is located.
Initially the cache contained: Full-size Swiss army knife, USA Olympic pin, 4 Bluto Fan wooden cache coins, PT Cruiser toy car, Top Gun pin, Bungi digital watch, and a 5-pack of highlighters for marking those caching maps.
You can work this one while on the same trip to do A Scouting Foundation (GC5230). As the crow flies your GPSr will show it fairly close but that assumes you can approach it like a crow.
