NearYosemite National Park but outside the boundary near the beginning of the Glacier Point/Badger Road. Must pay entrance fee if coming to this cache. Elevation is 6,026.
Once you have paid your entrance fee to Yosemite National Park drive to Chinquapin (intersection of Glacier Point Road and Hwy 41). Proceed south for 1/2 mile and turn into Yosemite West. Once in Yosemite West you are out of the National Park. If driving, park at the mailboxes. From here the cache is approx. .2 of a mile. Hike on the paved road west until you get to where the tractors are parked. Cross the paved road and finish hiking on the dirt road past the locked gate. This cache is under 6' of snow from December through April. We will leave active for the snow shoe and x-c skiers. Bring a lunch and enjoy the view of Devil's Dance Floor to the north. During fire season please do not bring any smoking materials.
