Arrgh!! Not long ago, we was on our way homeward from a sweet little spot o' plunder when me worthless first mate got us lost in this eerie landscape. There we was, pickin' our way down this little triberutary tryin' to find our way seawards when "The Bloody Murder" done run aground on the trecherous rocks that be everywhere thereabouts.
Even I, the most fearsome undead pirate on the seven seas were a bit... unsettled by this strange landscape. It were as if there was creatures not of this world lurking just beyond sight and hearin. That lilly-livered crew of mine were so scared they wouldn't come abovedecks.
The only thing to be done to get us loose was to jettison our blood-soaked treasure, it being so heavy with gold and jewels and all. I took the dregs of the crew and marched them ashore to bury the chest, then one by one I slit their throats and left their bodies for the buzzards so their tormented spirits could guard the treasure until I could return. You could say that me crew are guarding the treasure with their DEATH!!
But once we was movin' again things just got worst. As we went on, Voodoo Jack done read the signs - "Abandon Hope All Ye Who Enter Here!" The water ran across huge boulders and our ship split clean apart. The crew scattered for the hills but they weren't gettin' far - screams sounded from all quarters as they met grusome ends among the stunted underbrush. We never saw what hideous bein's did them in.
Well, Jack and that blasted first mate stuck close to me as they knew right well the undead wouldn't be goin' after one of their own. We scrabbled and clawed our way over the hellish landscape until we got to an outpost where we could, uh... "persuade" the locals to give us help and succor.
I've another crew now, but that scurvey dog of a mate has gone and told them about our little pleasure outin' an' they hold fast again' ever setting sail for those waters. I threatened to kill them all, but as this bunch are already undead I got nowheres. I'm figurin' I'll leave the treasure there until such times as are right for the undertaking to bring it back.
Stay away says we! Ye don't want to take these sorts o' chances with yer only time on this mortal coil!
