Upon suggestion by a Geocaching Charter Member, the Bagget Independence Multi-cache was changed to Traditional caches due to the distance between the caches. All Bagget Independence series caches are independent of each other. All caches are metal ammo cans (10” long x 3 ½” wide x 7” high). All are lightly covered with pinestraw. All initially contain: Log, pencil, Afghanistan bill, toy soldiers, toy reptiles and amphibians, couple of magnetic holders.
Find one or find them all before you go home.

General Description: The “Bagget Independence” caches are independent / individual caches placed within the Sandhills Gamelands and Field Trial Area. Park near the Field Trial buildings, break out your GPS and/or map and compass and enjoy a day hiking on the scenic, gently rolling hills. Bring fishing gear and fish at Lake Bagget.
The Gamelands are open to the public all-year-round. The gamelands are located a few miles West of Hoffman, NC in the scenic sandhills of NC. The area has many Red-cockaded woodpecker trees, which are marked by a double white band around the tree in which the bird lives in.
The area is frequented by dog and field trial people, horse riders, campers, hikers, fishermen and hunters, and by soldiers who practice land navigation in the area.
It is advised that you wear something hunter orange if you visit the area during hunting season (generally September to January).
The roads and trails within the gamelands vary from a clay/sand mixture to pure, sometimes deep sand. The main road that leads from the entrance sign to the Field Trial buildings is frequently maintained, and is useable by common two-wheel-drive vehicles. Travel on the numerous firebreaks within the gamelands can be tricky due to the deep sand, especially during lengthy dry periods when the road sand tends to loosen.
