Geocache Description:

This is a multi-legged cache visiting houses of the famous (and not-so famous) people who have lived and worked in the fashionable Clifton village area of Bristol. Details taken from the plaques will eventually lead to a hidden cache close at hand.

My suggested start point for the 7-legged virtual part of this cache is Christ Church in Clifton. It`s coordinates are shown above and there is usually adequate on-street parking close at hand. The church spire is 212ft high and it is therefore the highest point in Bristol and visible for many miles.
The suggested route below is the shortest distance between each cache but you can deviate if you wish. Details taken from each plaque will eventually lead to a nearby hidden cache. This cache is hidden at:-
N51 2A.BCD W2 3E.FGH. Letters A- H are represented by the numbers as shown below :-

Virtual cache 1 : N51 27.465 W2 37.244 (A poet)
Lived here 1836-183A

Virtual cache 2 : N51 27.356 W2 37.200 (Sir -------- ---- Scientist)
Lived in this house 1C98

Virtual cache 3 : N51 27.317 W2 37.043 (A sportsman)
Lived here 189B-6

Virtual cache 4 : N51 27.241 W2 37.033 (A novellist)
Lived here 190E-18

Virtual cache 5 : N51 27.217 W2 37.443 (An architect)
Lived here 19H9-1990

Virtual cache 6 : N51 27.254 W2 37.416 (An historian / statesman)
Lived here 18F2

Virtual cache 7 : N51 27.305 W2 37.240 (An architect)
177G-1837

Finally D=C-2

The route should take 1-2 hours and is designed such that the final cache is reasonably close to your start point. It is a small cache and a pen will be required to sign the log.
There are adequate stopping-off places en route to do some shopping or have a quiet drink or a meal.
