Tales from the Riverbank Multi-Cache
Gruffalo: I checked the cache location on the ground. It was fun while it lasted, but cache has unfortunately disappeared so I am archiving it.

A walk across Oughtonhead Common, a nature reserve close to Hitchin. The final part of the walk is along the beautiful wooded banks of one of Hitchin's three short rivers, the Oughton.
Those with a poor sense of balance or an aversion to getting wet might find this a little troublesome.
This cache is unsuitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs. All clues are reachable by bicycle on bridle paths or other rights of way but you would need to leave your bicycle to get to the actual cache.
There are three clues leading to the final cache location. The container is a standard small ammo box. The GPS signal will be poor at the final location outside of the Winter months and the undergrowth may be a problem. Add a point to the difficulty rating during the growing season.
Clue 1
These are the published cache co-ordinates and, if you arrive by car, are a suitable place to park. Look for two labelled posts. One has the letters SV. The number underneath this is AB (2 digits). The other post has the letter H. Divide the number under the bar of the H by two to give C. The next clue is located at:

Clue 2
There is a large gate and a kissing gate at this location. The large gate has D diagonal bars. The kissing gate has E horizontal bars. The next clue is located at:

There are some seats here. Sit a while and enjoy the view! Count the seats (F) and the total number of legs (G) for the seats. The final cache location is at:
