The legend of Sus Scrofa Hominis has been passed on from generation to generation. Long ago there was an evil witch who practiced black magic unknown to the people that lived in her town. On the surface the witch was kind and only used her magic for good in the face of the public. For this the people loved her. Things were very prosperous in the village. The crops were always plentiful and the items handcrafted by the guilds were always sturdy and lasted for years. For this, villagers would travel for hundreds of miles around to buy their items from the town. The witch promised that as long as the townsfolk protected her, provided her with food, and a small percentage of their monetary gains, she would see that the town stayed prosperous.

What they didn't know is that she was secretly a plague on the village. While the crops and products were always plentiful in the town little girls were not. The town had a very high mortality rate that the witch was never able to explain. Of every 10 girls born in the town 6 would either die or disappear in the night before they turned five years old. It seemed that most children that made it past the age of five had normal lives.

The witch needed items in order to cast hers spells that would help the town prosper. The secret ingredients were truffles, which as you may know are smell very tasty to female pigs. The witch found that little girls under the age of five could be turned into pigs that were highly successful in finding the best truffles for her spells. Since they were so young she could turn them back to little girls when she was done and they would never remember. The problem was that many of the girls would die shortly after being turned back into humans.

So you may ask why didn’t the witch just use the pigs already in the town? Well you see, there was a double purpose. The witch would visit the homes where the dying children lay. The witch could harvest organs from the dead girls to use for other spells. She merely told the townspeople that taking the organs would help her to create a spell that would stop the evil plague on the village girls.

All was well until a little boy found out one day what the evil witch was doing to the little girls. In haste the evil witch tried to turn the boy into a pig. The spell was made for girls and turned the boy into a hideous beast. The beast roamed the land terrorizing the people of the town. The beast was only able to speak in a broken secret language that normal people didn’t understand. If they could have understood the beast they would have found clues that the boy had hidden in a secret cache in the woods. So the witch’s secret stayed safe until she died hundreds of years later. And thankfully the little girls of the village finally stopped dying.

If you can decode what the beast was saying then maybe you can find the secret cache still hidden in the woods today. Just beware, it is rumored that the beast was made immortal by the spell. The beast sleeps in the forest by day and hunts at night when the park closes, if you disturb his sleep you may never make it out of the woods alive.
