Ride a mountain bike or take a long hike along the Rim Trail to reach this cache. A boat can get you close. During the summer watch out for rattlesnakes.
I placed this cache on Veteran's Day in honor of the soldiers who actively today and who in the past have put their lives on the line so that we can enjoy the freedoms of America. Our thoughts and prayers are with them all.
I placed this cache near the end of the Rim Trail along the north side of New Hogan Lake. This trail can be ridden on mountain bikes most of the winter, because it is very rocky. If you ride this, make sure that your biking skills are in the intermediate level.
When the cache was placed it contained an Army Dress belt buckle, Army duty belt buckle, Castle insignia, Corps of Engineers Volunteer Patch, Messengers motorcycle pin, painted rock, Plastic horse, 20 Centavo coin, Dodge pin, Japanese coin, Compass, and a Keychain carabiner.
