This is a TVA recreation area; the cache is accessible by foot
or boat. If on foot the parking coords are:
35N 09.578 085W 08.499
There are no motorized vehicles allowed beyond the parking spot.
They have bulldozed a barricade to prevent them anyway, and the
barricade will be your most difficult obstacle so be careful. The
cache will be accessible by foot most of the time unless the river
is unusually high; don't wear your new Nikes though ;) For now the
cache is in a medium sized Rubbermaid container, but I may try to
get a more durable ammo box out there soon.
Take time to enjoy this beautiful spot! If you drive around the
area you will find a few picnic tables. The road in is a little
rough, so watch where you point your wheels. This is also an
excellent fishing area.
Note: This is definitely a daytime only cache. 1. The
gate closes at night and 2. You'll understand two when you get
there :)
