Starting at the age of 7 I spent the majority of my weekends going to a cabin my parents built in Oakland Hills Estates development adjacent to where this cache is located. It is here that I spent my time blazing trails through the woods. I gained a great respect for the outdoors and the wildlife that inhabits it. Most of my adventures were confined to the woods inside the development, but I would also venture out into this valley. My parents have passed away now and the cabin has long since been sold, but the memories I have of this area will last a lifetime.
This cache is a Pre-form and is located off the Shady Creek Trail which is a small loop trail that was laid out in the late 70’s.
Park at the boat ramp parking area at: N37*18.948 W086*13.833 you will find the trail head near the rental cabins.
