Zoom In Zoom Out Traditional Cache

Zoom In – Zoom Out is located at beautiful Meachen Creek Falls. It is named after our now late, number three cat Zoomer, who never walked, but zoomed, wherever she wanted to go.
Travel the St. Mary Lake road between Kimberley and Marysville; turn left at the junction of St. Mary Lake Road and St. Mary River Road (consider this point as 0 KM), crossing a wooden bridge. At 0.6 KM, turn right at the second dirt road (south) on to St. Mary/Hellroaring Creek Forest Service Road. At 1.6 KM, turn right on to St. Mary/Meachen Creek Forest Service road. Continue up the road till kilometre 8. You will see a large turn about area on either side of the road that can serve as parking area. Walk down the road to the well-defined (but unmarked) path that appears on the left had side of the road (on the right as you drive up) Walk in, and there you are! Turn right once out of the bush, and head toward the rocky lookout. If you stop to look at the falls, be extremely careful as there is no guardrail, it is a very slippery area. Once at the rocky lookout, to the right and high off the ground you will see an X shaped archway, formed where two trees cross. Walk through the archway, and head up the small incline. Let your GPS guide you the rest of the way. You may have to look around somewhat. We were there for quite a while, and let our coordinates settle, but there are lots of trees in the area that could send your coordinates astray. The cache you are looking for is a clear circular container, away from the falls area. There are many trees in the area, so using a regular compass might prove to be helpful!
