Geocache Description:

This Cache is dedicated to those who have served!

To find the location of this Cache you will need to do some legwork and solve the Cross Number Puzzle! Go to the following locations and look around the area to find the Answers you need;

    1st Stop is in Downtown Grand Rapids;

  1. Civil War Monument at N 42° 57.810 W 085° 40.061

  2. Veterans Park at N42 57.831 W85 39.987 look around at the memorials. (coords are for the general area)

   Next stop is the Veterans facility in NE Grand Rapids;

  1. Hebe Fountain N 43° 01.014 W 085° 39.652 (Coords are for the general area)

  2. Veterans Cemetery N43 01.139 W85 39.511 (general area) and  N 43° 01.227 W 085° 39.532.

Use the answers to fill in the blanks in the puzzle. The numbers in white have been filled in for you. Make sure you subtract the negative numbers and add the positive (all your answers will be positive). Next add up each of the columns  from top to bottom to obtain the N coordinate. Then add all the rows across from left to right to get the W coordinate. An N W and two slashed O's have been inserted for you so you will not need to add those columns or rows.

Here is the puzzle! Have fun and Good Luck!

The Cache is a one gallon pickle jar. As with all Caches please be discreet and replace the Cache the way you found it. The hide itself is not your typical Aardvark sneaky hide and is straightforward but well hidden!

My goal for this Cache is to have the Cacher reflect on the past and remind them of the sacrifices that others have made while serving our country.
