Geocache Description:

This is a webcam cache located in the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology (SDSM&T) courtyard. I realized that there are no webcam caches in the area so I figured I'd start one.

The first thing to do is have someone at a computer watching for you on http://quadcam.sdsmt.edu/.

Now you have to go to SDSM&T and locate the webcam. It would probably be a good idea to have the person that is at the computer on the phone as well while you find a good spot to have a picture taken.

Now smile, wave and hold up a sign and/or your GPSr toward the webcam so we know it's actually you and have your partner capture a picture from the computer. Then post the picture that your partner took when you log the find. It's that easy! (If you need help in saving the image see below.)

Please be sure to post your picture when you log the cache. Logs with out a picture will be deleted.

(updated 5-30-04) I was just told that the link to the webcam has changed. (Thank you Clias.) It is now easier to save the image.
To capture your image, click the link above. When the webcam is passing where you are, click capture (above the image.) Then when the new window pops up, right click and save it. Then upload it along with your log. You can also control the webcam and even zoom in!
