In this park there are several markers with information on several famous residents of Liberty County. To find the coordinates for next stop you will need some information off of one of the markers. A short distance from the park is a boat ramp that provides a view of the Medway River.

The town of Sunbury was once a bustling port community on the Medway River that once rivaled the size of Savannah. The town was a strong supporter of the Revolutionary movement and soon became the county seat of Liberty County. After the Revolution, Sunbury went into a decline. By the end of the Civil War little remained of the town as the Union Army burned the Sunbury Baptist Church to signal that the area was secure. The cemetery contains markers from from 1788-1911. This cemetery is now located in a residential community so be wary of curious neighbors when looking for the cache.
The cache is a small shallow plastic container 3"x6". Small trade items only. The original contents of the cache were: wheresgeorge bill, plastic alien, pink ribbon pin, GI Joe magnet, Harley Davidson key chain, Old Maid cards, Halloween pin and 5 Franc coin. Please return cache with clear plastic top pointing away from view.
