If you encounter a closed gate, obey the sign and re-close it
(see picture).
Verify your visit by emailing us what number is made of nails in
the lumber of the nearby railroad trestle where the cattle gate
goes under it. Do not post these as logs.
Please be respectful and leave no new signs. The glyphs are best
viewed in mid-afternoon and in Winter when the Walnut trees are not
covered with leaves. Please keep this site undisturbed: LNT (Leave
no trace).
There is a benchmark (CG0163)not too far down stream, near the
ruins of another trestle. Our Monumental Ed Cache is not too far by
crow-flight, but requires some off-trail navigation or serious
bushwacking otherwise. Be mindful of all dangers in the desert.
You can drive onto the old RR grade behind the post office or
Holiday Inn. If you start on '3 For T' cache you will be headed in
the right direction. If you're coming from Monumental Ed you can
get on the RR grade using a small dirt road across from the east
end of the Tombstone Cemetery. It's right behind the Radar sign and
cubby-hole post office boxes.
