This cache is on the Tarka Trail. This is an old railway line with the track removed. It is surfaced and nearly level.
This is my first cache so I have kept it simple. It is halfway between two small car parks and will take you approx 3/4 of an hour to complete. However this foorpath/cyclepath is a pleasure to do and it is recommended you explore it further. The first car park is at N 50.57.418 W 004.09.914 and is on the A386 just outside Torrington. Here you will find a pub, The Puffing Billy and in the summer you can hire push bikes. The second car park is at N 50.56.213 W 004.10.875 and is along the B3227. This is a much smaller affair but like the first car park, parking is free. Reception is very poor so it is only fair to tell you that the cache co-ordinates are for a piece of art sited along the trail. The cache is a 2L container approx 14 paces to the south/south-east of here.
