I didn’t hike up the bike trail here N40 50.414 W73 27.754, but
it seemed like a great hill to get a good view of the surrounding
area. If anyone does it, post a picture if you get a chance. It's
pretty close to the cache.
You can park here N40 49.891 W73 28.569 at the ball fields and
have a long hike through the entire woods following the
white-blazed Nassau-Suffolk Greenway Trail into the yellow-blazed
Stillwell Woods Loop trail. Or if you’re in a hurry, you can park
at N40 50.408 W73 27.605 and start on the white-blazed
Nassau-Suffolk Greenway Trail across the road where there’s room
for one car although I’m not sure if it’s a legal parking spot. You
then connect to the yellow Loop trail here N40 50.379 W73
27.674
If you stay on the trails, you will only have to bushwack about
30 feet. The cache is a small Rubbermaid.
