The idea is to collect fabric squares with a team name and/or logo or individual cacher name on them. The date you visit the cache is optional but it would be nice to have a bit of 'history-tracking' built into the quilt.
We will frequently collect all the fabric squares that have been placed in the cache. Tumbleweed and hopefully a few others who have volenteered to help, will assemble the squares into a quilt. We will bring the quilt (either in-progress or finished) to each Event Cache that we attend. We'll also post photos on this cache page.
Some Important Procedures to Follow:
1. Fabric squares must be 6" x 6" square with a 1/2" border on all four sides. Your team or individual name and/or logo must not extend into the 1/2" border.
2. The 6" x 6" fabric square can be made up of several pieces of fabric or just one. You decide and make it uniquely your own.
3. Write, stamp, sew, screen print, embroider or paint (you get the idea) your TEAM or INDIVIDUAL Geocaching NAME and/or LOGO and the DATE you visited the cache on the fabric square.
4. Drop off your square in the cache. Zip-Lock bags are provided in the cache to help prevent damage to the fabric.
***If you do not have fabric, or a way to mark the fabric you do have, please feel free to use a piece of pre-cut fabric and/or Sharpie marker from the cache. Just remember to leave the markers and place the fabric into the Zip-Lock bag.
Thanks for participating in this "Quilting Bee" cache. This is a traditional cache with a theme. However, there are other misc items available for trade.
