This cache is located in the Jackson Bottom wetlands. A short hike through the wetlands brings you there. Park at the visitor center parking lot to start your adventure. Be sure to go into the visitor center after you find the cache (or before)!
The area you will be visiting is a natural wetland, so bring your camera but leave the dog at home, as they are not permitted. The cache is located about 1/2 mile (15 minutes) or so from the parking area. Trails can (and should) be followed all the way to the cache site.
On this search you will see will see many birds and perhaps a nutria or two. If you have binoculars, be sure to bring them along. This cache, in conjunction with the visitor center, should prove highly rewarding for kids and adults alike.
The cache is a small plastic container painted green. It contains items of interest to all ages and has some nature things as well. Please make sure the top is on securely and try to put it back fully out of view. The area can be a bit muddy in winter and spring, so bring your boots!
