Located on Hanks Road about 10 miles East of Meadville. Experience a piece of history and find a cache at the same time. This was one of my favorite geocaches that I had found when it used to have a regular cache nearby. Not really because of the cache, but because of the Springhouse itself. I had never seen one before and it fascinated me. Check it out yourself.
To count this as a find you must email me the answers to the two following questions...
1- What direction does the door on the Springhouse face?
2- What is the name of the horse-drawn sled that hauled blocks to the Springhouse?
The terrain is rated 1.5 because it would be hard for a wheelchair to navigate, but the house itself is only about 50 feet off the road. Plus, be careful of holes in the ground around the Springhouse or you may get a soaker.
