Prairie Oasis Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Cache Effect: Archiving at the request of the Land Manager.
This area known as Waterfall Valley is very sensitive with natural springs, and tufa formations. New desire lines are being formed in the area of the geocache and the land manager has requested the removal of any geocaches in this area.
Owner has not been online since July 2014 so I will regretfully have to archive this listing.
Thanks!

Geocache Description:

This is the second of two caches that I have hidden in Silver Springs (which in my opinion is Calgary's nicest greenspace). About half of the walk to the cache is on paved paths, but the other half is mostly well defined hardpack. The last 100 meters will be a bit mucky if the weather's bad. There are several locations where this cache could be hidden, but most people would be able to find it in half an hour (at the very most).

This cache (like all my other ones) is hidden in a medium sized black plastic tool box. Since this cache was hidden on a Scout Geocaching expedition, it contains badges from the Dalhousie 141 Scout Troop, as well as several pins and stickers. This cache is hidden within 100 meters of the springs that Silver Springs is named after. As you will probably notice if you visit this cache, there are hardly any trees until you come to the area where the spring starts, hence its' name. Hope you have as much fun finding this cache as we did hiding it!
